Shadow Pavilion

Following the form of Partition lines, the pavilion is an evolving space that encourages gathering, reflection and community participation, acting as a space of healing for visitors.

Community Garden

Focusing on the theme of healing and unity, a series of planters, greenhouses and columns will mimic the form of the regions from pre-partition India, facilitating community growth and strengthening community ties.

Museum

Inspired by the pre-partition India lines, the borders make up standing boards which host information.

To educate, remind and unite the wider community about the history of partition, as part of an established museum or gallery.

What is a satellite proposal?

To support the chosen main project and to keep community engagement high, a series of satellite proposals will be located on varying scales to interact with the public. These satellite sites could also support existing projects like the Remembering Partition Heritage Trail. It is important to note that these satellite proposals are not a replacement for a larger, more permanent memorial
